Hospitality Veteran, Stefan Lourens has been appointed as the new General Manager for the Radisson Hotel & Convention Centre Johannesburg situated inside the O.R. Tambo International Airport.
Radisson Hotel Group is one of the world’s largest hotel groups with nine distinctive hotel brands, and more than 1,600 hotels in operation and under development in 120 countries.
Lourens has been working in the hospitality industry for over 25 years of experience, starting his career in 1994 as a student at the Wits Hotel School; he proceeded to hold various key positions across hotels and casinos in South Africa, Saudi Arabia and Jordan.
The new GM brings with him a wealth of experience from implementing new food and beverage concepts to building strategic alliances with various key figures and corporations in the hospitality industry around the world. Throughout his career, Lourens completed many international courses with strong focuses on hotel management, leadership, and marketing.
In his role, Lourens will focus on growing and developing the Radisson brand by delivering quality customer-centric services whilst ensuring a positive impact on the environment and local community we operate in. Lourens is passionate about people and believes in developing local talent in the hospitality industry
“I plan on using the wealth of knowledge and experiences I have gained over the years to lead our team to deliver exceptional results and ensure that every guest experience is a memorable moment. Furthermore, my vision is to position the hotel as a top bleisure destination within the greater O.R. Tambo aerotropolis.” said Lourens.
