The public is invited to the launch of Radisson Blu Hotel’s all new and improved ONE80° Pool Deck and Bar at their Sandton branch this coming Saturday. This is the hotel group’s partnership with Aperol and Campari, as a way to emerge from the strict Covid19 pandemic regulations.
As the name suggests, the rooftop space boasts a 180° view of Sandton with a 15m lap pool cantered in the middle of the deck.
General Manager, Shaun Wheeler said that this is an intentional move to differentiate the open-air space from many of the other hotel facilities and amenities.
The GM further said the naming and soft upgrade of the space was a natural progression for the property as society socially, adding space is specifically created to welcome walk-in guests as well as guests staying at the hotel. He also acknowledged that a large number of people had already been missing the outdoors and that the event would be the hotel group’s way to partly restore that.
“We welcome the return of social events to the hotel and look forward to making many memories at the ONE80° Pool Deck and Bar with all of our guests,”
“There has been a noticed demand for more outdoor spaces for people to socialize regardless of the changing seasons. It is understandable since we’ve all been isolated and indoors for the past two years,” said the Wheeler.
The dedicated pool bar ensures a steady flow of ice-cold cocktails and drinks, along with an exclusive menu. Whether it’s a ribs n’ wings combo basket, a freshly made pizza that is baked in the rooftop pizza oven or Nutella and strawberries waffle, guests won’t go hungry.
Snack platters and pizzas will be available with various drinks specials to celebrate the return of Saturday Sessions to enjoy, with a chilled house set by DJ Chase from 1pm to 4pm.
