HUAWEI smartwatch comes with ground-breaking health features

HUAWEI has just launched a smartwatch that can predict the first day of a woman’s period, monitor sleeping patterns and track fitness. The new HUAWEI WATCH GT 4 is not just a smartwatch but also a style statement with ground-breaking health features.

Technology has played a key role in improving the health and well-being of women, especially when it comes to mental and reproductive health. Thankfully, smart wearables have become such a great tool for women to find the support they need, incorporate more aesthetic elements, and often come in the form of more exciting smartwatches that not only act as health management devices but also fashion statements. Huawei has become a leader in this department, announcing its new Fashion Forward brand manifesto for its newest wearables, proving that the future of wearable technology is not just smart but stylish too.

Style is nothing without substance, which is why Huawei strives to ensure that its advancements in design don’t leave behind its innovation in health and fitness technology. A key area of which is women’s health, which first started in 2018, when a female developer at Huawei found that only a small proportion of women regularly monitor their health and menstrual cycles. Soon, her idea grew into a women’s health R&D team. Five years later, it has expanded to include a team of experts from clinical medicine, bioengineering, computer, mathematics, and information communications.

The team collaborated with experts in reproduction and heredity sciences to develop a smart cycle calendar, launching the latest Menstrual Health Management 3.0 on the HUAWEI WATCH GT 4. This feature can predict the first day of the period with 30% higher accuracy than other smartwatches, helping women adapt to the changing needs of their bodies.

Research has shown that women report more sleep difficulties and are at greater risk for insomnia diagnosis than men. To combat these issues, Huawei’s TruSleepTM 3.0 provides women with a better understanding of their sleep cycles and habits, giving them tips to optimise their rest. Additionally, the WATCH GT 4’s Sleep monitoring feature also detects the user’s breathing regularity during sleep, offering keen insights into respiratory health during sleep.

Keeping fit is also part and parcel of a balanced lifestyle. Powered by the latest TruSeenTM 5.5+ technology, the HUAWEI WATCH GT 4 has also introduced new fitness features like Stay Fit and Activity Rings 3.0, motivating users to keep moving. These make tracking workouts more personalised and give women a tool to better manage their fitness and weight goals.

But it’s not about to stop there, Huawei has more in store for its smartwatches and is planning to extend its research into common health issues affecting women.

With all of these developments, gone are the days when smartwatches were just fitness-tracking devices, they are today also fashion accessories. As a result, Huawei has produced some stunningly stylish and impressively advanced smartwatches, like the most recent HUAWEI WATCH GT 4, giving users the best of both worlds.

The WATCH GT 4 comes in 8 different designs, with the notable Pendant edition in 41mm designed for modern women. It blends right in with any outfit and any occasion. Colours range from gold, white, black or silver; each colourway was created to complement diverse and chic lifestyles.

Users can pick from over 25,000 watch faces and customise their watch dials to their liking. So, everybody can find a style that best represents them.
