Durban July nudging KZN economic recovery

After physical absence and virtual engagements for two years following the 2020 Covid19 outbreak, the annual Durban July horse racing and social event on Saturday saw many tourists visiting KZN, with hotel occupancy rate hiking to 85% and flights being fully booked.

Premier Sihle Zikalala says this is a good look as it will spike up job creation for people living in the province that lead to economic recovery.

Despite the decrease in Covid19 numbers, strict health regulations were exercised as more than 60 000 people gathered towards Greyville to experience “July Fever” is not all about the horses but also a fashion and entertainment extravaganza where everybody wants to be seen.
